The core of S5 has been based in Dance Photography since 2013.
We offer an array of services for dancers and studio owners.
We are dance parents to three talented daughters who are all competitive dancers.

In the Details
We believe that great dance studio photography is in the small details. As studio owners know, "dance picture week" is a controlled chaos. Hundreds of dancers, busy parents, busy teachers. We strive to provide a level of calmness and fun as we run the dancers through but we, also, are always expecting the unexpected and are able to shift our workflow to fit the studio's need.
Equipment Details
Pictured above and to the right was taken at Studio G Dance in Manvel, Texas.

Two Camera Setup.

Cameras are tethered to a viewing station.

Two Backdrops / Floor-Drops.

3 Lighting setups with studio strobes - traditional and dramatic.

Sturdy light-stands with large softboxes to allow a soft lighting for photos.

Marked pathways for dancers.
We always stay focused on the safety of the dancers. We want their experience to be fun, safe, and one they look forward to each year.
Specialized Dance Photography
Two to three times a year, S5 will conduct a specialized dance shoot. During these photoshoots we will have a dance instructor present to assist in poses and action shots. These are not held as "mini sessions" and usually hold up to an hour time slot. We welcome parents and friends to attend as these sessions are fun-filled. Live viewing station and refreshments are provided.
